The Jack Rose is an old classic that was once declared dead by the Washington Post. It's been recently revived by makers of apple brandy like Laird's. For this one I used Laird's Applejack.
2 oz. apple brandy
1/2 oz. lime juice
1 tsp. grenadine
Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice. Shake and strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
