Bow Street Special

Here begins a series of Irish whiskey drinks made to order at Murphy's Grand Irish Pub in Alexandria, VA. The bartender was gracious and willing to tackle these obscure recipes. This was a lot like a Sidecar, but with Irish whiskey. My feeling was that there was too much citrus, so I recommend halving the lemon juice to 1/2 oz.

  • 1 1/2 oz. Irish whiskey
  • 3/4 oz. triple sec
  • 1 oz. lemon juice
Combine all ingredients into a shaker with ice. Shake and strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
