Sometimes vodka is just what I want, strong and clear. For some reason sherry makes it into a Soviet named drink, but I really approve. It is smooth and silky and, like the
Russian Rob Roy, perfect when you want a hint of the flavor without the body of the mixed-in spirit.
- 3 oz. vodka
- 1 oz. Manzanilla sherry
- 1/2 oz. dry vermouth
- lemon twist
Combine all ingredients except twist in a shaker with ice. Shake and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with lemon twist.
